PERFORMANCE UNBREAKABLE SINGLE ENGINE MOUNT TUFF HOLDEN V8 6 6.2 LS1 VTII VX VY VZ

(To suit LS1 LS2 LS3 L98 VTII VX VY VZ)

The engine mounts are all made from 5.0mm laser cut steel plate, components are laser cut and precision folded for increased strength and accuracy. They are all jigged for welding and finished in gloss black enamel paint. The same bushes are used for all mounts, a 50.0mm diameter cylindrical rubber bush and a 13.0mm thru bolt. Included in the design is a long lasting cylindrical bush that is always under compression no matter the direction of the load being applied.

  • Suitable for circuit, speedway and drag racing, etc., ideal for turbo cars with tight engine bay clearance and big diameter exhaust systems.
  • The large diameter bush absorbs the engine vibration, but increases resistance the more the engine moves, reducing the movement to about 5mm.
  • Can be used as a pair or individually (on passenger side only) for reduced engine lifting yet still maintaining maximum vibration dampening.
  • Standard height mount with cylindrical rubber bush. 5.0mm thick steel plate. 13.0mm diameter thru bolt.

It’s the Jaguar F-Type Roadster UPDATED +video

Wed, 04 Apr 2012

Jaguar F-Type Roadster The Jaguar F-Type is the production name for the C-X16 Concept and will arrive as a Roadster first in early 2013. Well, Jaguar F-Type was one of the monikers we pitched as a possibility for the new Jaguar Roadster and Coupe previewed by the C-X16 Concept, but it was a long way off the top of the list. But Jaguar F-Type it is and, for what it’s worth, we approve.

Autoweek in review: What you might have missed

Fri, 02 Dec 2011

Rally driver Ken Block spent his summer on a three-continent tour of car trickery, and his highlight video can be viewed here. The Chevrolet Volt has been in the spotlight this week because of a NHTSA investigation into battery-pack fires, but the car still topped an owner-satisfaction survey. Tokyo Motor Show press days were this week, and you can check out our complete coverage here.

Look, Ma, no hands and no feet in the BMW training car

Thu, 26 May 2011

Race-car drivers, you may soon be out of a job. Just as IBM built a computer that could beat humans at chess and even at Jeopardy, BMW has built a car that can beat your lap time. OK, the best drivers can still beat this car, but we can imagine a time when autonomous cars will handle all of our driving needs, even the competitive kind.
